FOSA Humanitarian Hospital is situated at Bannerghatta, in Bangalore. It was set up in 1998 by Ravi V. Melwani. With a capacity of 150 beds it offers completely free in-patient services to those in distress and those who are unable to access such services elsewhere due to poverty and destitution. Soon it will be a 1000 bed hospital. The hospital also offers out-patient services to hundreds of villagers living nearby. The out-patient services are totally free for the extremely poor and highly subsidized for those who have some paying capacity.

As the less fortunate struggle to exist, and languish without adequate medical care, ‘One Hour Doctor’, an initiative spearheaded by RVM seeks to address these issues. A firm believer of the three – fold philosophy ‘Rejoice, Value Life and Make a Difference’, RVM intends to take medical care tended to the poor to a different level altogether. As a doctor, all you need to do is spare an hour of your life to serving the poor, the discarded and the diseased… an hour spent at the RVM Humanitarian Hospital helping the helpless. If and when you choose to take an hour’s time is a choice that you need to make. RVM believes serving suffering humanity is no less than serving God and holds doctors in high esteem for they ‘do the work of God’.
Bring out your philanthropic side with ‘One Hour Doctor’. You may be fortunate enough to think of sparing an hour but some people do not even have the assurance of the next moment. Think about it; come forward and save a life. Now is your chance!
