Bangalore Baptist hospital was started by the International Mission Board (IMB), Southern Baptist Convention in 1973 is a unit of Christian Medical College Vellore since 1989. Currently has 202 beds with over 700 Staff and students has a annual turn over of Rs.240 million Annual Operating Budget. The Bangalore Baptist hospital is located near Hebbal Flyover on Bellary Road, Between Mekhri Circle. The property for the hospital was purchased in Hebbal, which is located on the northern edge of Bangalore. In 1969, Dr & Mrs. John Wikman and Dr & Mrs. Richard Hellinger arrived. The architectural plans for the hospital building were completed, and construction began in 1971. On January 15, 1973, the ‘Bangalore Baptist Hospital’ was dedicated.
